I'm not a big fan of western medicine, so when I became a cat owner I sought and found a homeopathic veterinarian. She still practiced part-time in the western world, but maintained her practice in an office in her house. This allowed access to x-rays and lab work, while adding herbs to my cat's diet. While my cat is no longer alive, I do believe that with the help of my homeopathic vet that I was able to extend his life and improve his quality of life.
--Near the end, I also found a vet that would make house calls. My cat always knew that a ride in the car meant he was going to the vet. The house call was less stressful when he was really sick.
